Up The Spiral Staircase

While I have been working on painting the upstairs linen closet and guest bedroom closet, Randy started building the spiral staircase to the Crow’s Nest. He has been contemplating what materials to use and how he wanted to build this staircase for a very long time. He attempted to explain it to me but I have to admit that I didn’t quite get it. Since I had no prior experience with building spiral staircases, I had to trust him on this one. Let me just say that I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo impressed with his creation. Besides being extremely sturdy, it is just plain cool!!! Being able to access the third floor for the first time by stair rather than by ladder was a very fun day!
