Director of Computer OperationsEd makes sure that the office keeps a light-hearted, humble, and amusing perspective. His adventurous past allows him to contribute an endless amount of compelling stories and humorous insights to break up the routine workflow. Ed was one of the first employees of High Plains Architects in 1999, and has been a critical part of its growth ever since.
Growing up on a farm, Ed developed a hard-working and tenacious attitude toward life. Moving away from his rural upbringing, Ed found his forte in computer drafting and set out to master the trade. When CAD was first being introduced into architecture, Ed was there to teach most of Billings’ architects how to use a computer. Needless to say, it wasn’t easy, and he had to rely on his persistent attitude. Ed has over 30 years of computer and drafting experience with a diverse array of companies, principals, and staff. This allowed him to work on many projects, leaving his mark throughout the city and region.
Outside of the office, Ed has always enjoyed the Montana outdoors and fishing numerous streams, creeks, and rivers across the state. He is also a seasoned musician and bluegrass enthusiast. Above all, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
Ed received his Associate of Applied Science in Drafting Technology degree from Montana State University – Billings, College of Technology.
