Architect

Drawn to High Plains Architecture and their commitment to sustainable projects and progressive solutions, Josi has found a unique and talented team with a compassionate and thoughtful approach to architecture. She is excited with the opportunity to work with these skilled people and learn from the engaging dialogue and practice of purposeful design that exists in this vast place.

Growing up in Nebraska, Josi developed a fondness for the rural landscape with its expansive views, fading barns, towering elevators and farm buildings in different stages of exposure. Weathered materials, exposed structures, and open spaces are images of her childhood, as well as her own construction efforts of creating hay bale forts in massive barns. Over the years, Josi has worked on projects ranging in scale from large hospitals to small home additions but her favorite projects have been restoring the character to old estates and period homes while living in England for three years. A consciousness of regional materials, attentive craftsmanship, and timeless structures was deepened. She holds a personal belief that everyone should access to beautiful spaces and landscapes.
Her interests include a love of the outdoors, running, hiking, tennis, golf, gardening and biking. She also engages in various volunteer activities.

Josi and is a licensed architect and a LEED Accredited Professional with a Building Design and Construction specialty. She received a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Nebraska.
