Description

In June of 2012, High Plains Architects partnered with Seattle based architecture firm LMN Architects to co-lead a planning study for the Exposition Gateway area in the East Billings Urban Renewal District (EBURD.)

The master plan was completed in May of 2013 after the consultant team worked closely with the steering committee comprised of area land and business owners as well as Big Sky Economic Development (BSED). The design team includes local and regional experts focused on all aspects of the master planning process, including master planning, urban planning and redevelopment, architectural, civil engineering, landscape design, transportation planning and modeling, stakeholder engagement and economic analysis and development. This project is part of an ongoing effort to build off the work already done in the EBURD and work toward mutual cooperation, widespread participation and ultimately, a revitalized East Billings.

In October 2012, the consultant team, in partnership with the steering committee and BSED, hosted a kick off public workshop.  A second, follow-up public workshop was held in December 2012 and a third and final meeting was held in February 2013.
