Milligan Building

DESCRIPTION

High Plains Architects is excited to have the opportunity to continue our work with One Health and rehabilitate the Milligan Building into a first-class healthcare facility serving the Miles City community and residents of Eastern Montana. The Milligan Building is our third major project with One Health and we couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity. Our team completed the Preliminary Architectural Report (PAR) for the Milligan Building in fall of 2021, and our familiarity with the building and expertise with high performance historic structures makes this a candidate for one of our most important and impactful projects as a firm.

Miles City’s rich history is evident in the architectural character of the downtown community, and this project will breathe life back into a faded intersection and enhance the downtown core. The Milligan Building, historically known as the Bullard Block, has had a number of renovations over the years. The original portion of the building was constructed in 1898. A one-story addition was added to the rear of the building in 1908 and the whole building was built to a third story level in 1912. Overall, the gross area of the building is approximately 26,700 square feet.

The outpatient healthcare facility will provide public health, dentistry, telehealth, behavioral health, labs, general family practice, pharmacy operations, a community development component, offices for the One Health executive team, and spaces associated with the residency program, all in a centralized location.
