Ushering in Downtown Revitalization
We love this video by the Montana Main Street Program, not just because it includes a cameo from our firm’s co-founder, Randy Hafer, and a handful of our projects. It’s the message and the mission of the Montana Main Street Program that really resonates with us. Montana’s historic downtowns have so much to offer, from compact, walkable streets to beautiful historic buildings ready for new life and uses. It all starts with a masterplan and the willingness of the community to bring vitality back to their neighborhood.
High Plains recently completed the Downtown Master Plan for Havre and is working with Ekalaka to develop a community plan. In each case, the plans look to strengthen and preserve what is unique about them while laying the groundwork for economic vitality. Montana Main Street Program and its support through incentives help these rural communities implement their plans.
